Job Title: Pharmacist
Job Summary
Sutter Surgical Hospital – North Valley services the Yuba-Sutter community. Our brand new Hospital focuses on providing outpatient and inpatient surgical procedures, as well as MRI outpatient services. We are looking to fill an open position of Pharmacist. This is a part-time (20-24 hours per week) position.
The Pharmacist will provide services within the hospital to include the acquisition, storage and dispensing of pharmaceuticals ordered by physicians. He/she will review orders, maintain patient profiles and evaluate drug/food interactions to assure effective and cost efficient dosing. The perfect candidate will assist in maintaining the Hospital formulary and will assure that the acquisition, storage, dispensing and documentation of all pharmaceutical and narcotics is performed in a safe and effective manner and meets the standards outlined by the California Board of Pharmacy. He/she will also utilize automated systems for control of pharmaceuticals, billing and communication (Pyxis, Ascend, AdvantX, Outlook).
Requirements:
- Holds a degree as a pharmacist.
- Current licensure in the State of California and posts this license in the pharmacy.
- At least two years of hospital experience required.
- Able to pass a criminal background investigation.
- Works and communicates effectively with others.
- Pyxis experience preferred.
- Computer knowledge and experience required.
- Prior management experience preferred.
