Job Summary
Sutter Surgical Hospital – North Valley services the Yuba-Sutter community. Our new Hospital focuses on providing outpatient and inpatient surgical procedures, as well as MRI outpatient services. We are looking to fill open positions of Surgical Technician.
Our Surgical Technicians, under the supervision of the Operating Room Manager and at the direction of the Registered Nurses, perform scrubbing and assisting duties within and support of the sterile field during operative procedures and assure proper care and maintenance of all surgical instrumentation and equipment. They will demonstrate good knowledge of principles and practices of aseptic technique and knowledge of equipment, instruments, procedures and supplies used in the operating room. In addition, the perfect candidates will be able to work under pressure and in situations that demand patience, tact, stamina, and endurance.
Requirements:
- Graduate ST program, CST certification or documented performance in role at hire.
- CPR certification required at time of hire.
- 3+ years solid experience as a Surgical Technician.
- Previous acute care hospital operating room experience is preferred
- Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
